Disclaimer

Ioanna Lapata is a practitioner of Traditional Tibetan medicine (Amchi) trained in Switzerland and not a conventional doctor. This means that she does not practice medicine therefore is not allowed to diagnose, treat medical conditions, prescribe or sell medicines.

If you provide personal health information in the course of a consultation, the consultation shall not involve or constitute the practice of medicine or any other profession. It will not create a physician-patient relationship between us, and is not intended to be a substitute for a physical examination and face-to-face consultation with your personal physician. Ioanna Lapata  encourages open communication between herself  and your current medical practitioner.

The main goal of Traditional Tibetan diagnosis (based on urine, tongue, eye, pulse reading, etc.) is to detect energetic  and individual (constitutional) imbalances or tendencies and not to identify specific malfunctions and symptoms as is done during conventional medical diagnosis.

Traditional Tibetan medicine, also known as Sowa-Rigpa, is a centuries-old traditional system developed in Tibet. Although it's gaining popularity, it's still relatively new in western countries, therefore no official accreditation or standardization procedure has yet been established in the West. Herbs and therapies used by Tibetan medicine  practitioners have started to be researched by modern science (eg. products of the swiss company PADMA established in 1969. Nowadays, formula Padma 28 is one of the few herbal remedies with a metanalysis confirming its activity in the circulatory system). Any herbs used or recommended by Ioanna Lapata are in accordance with the Swiss law.
